The History of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars
The Rolls-Royce Motor Cars marque was created in 1904 when successful engineer, Sir Henry Royce agreed to build cars for Charles Rolls, owner of one of the first car dealerships. Their collaboration proved successful when in 1907, Royce built the Silver Ghost, a car with such a smooth ride and dependability that it was called, “the best car in the world,” by an Autocar journalist. Things didn’t stop there. Since that time, the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars line of ultra-luxury automobiles has continued to raise standards of excellence for generations.
